A Tribute to Dr. Cade Carlson
As many of you know, this past year brought profound change to our Carlson Family Dentistry family. After the devastating loss of my husband, Dr. Cade Carlson, my focus, along with his family, has been on honoring his legacy and caring for our patients with the same warmth, integrity, and dedication that he and his father, Dr. Vance Carlson, built over more than 30 years.
Today, I am extremely grateful to share that the practice will remain in the family. Beginning in the new year, Dr. Grant Coleman (Dr. Cade’s cousin and mentee) will take over as the new owner and lead dentist at Carlson Family Dentistry & Implants.
Many of you may already recognize Dr. Grant’s friendly face; he stepped in to help us shortly after Cade’s passing and quickly became a beloved part of our dental family. From the start, the entire staff felt he was the right fit - someone who shared the same values, compassion, and commitment to excellence that have always defined this practice.
A few words from Dr. Grant:
“Dentistry, to me, is not just about clinical excellence, it’s about building relationships, fostering trust, and caring for families like my own. My wife, Claire, grew up alongside the Carlson family, and Cade has always been like a brother to her. It is a tremendous honor to carry on the Carlson family tradition of service and care.
My goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible. I am enthusiastically looking forward to meeting each of you in the coming months. Thank you for welcoming me into your dental home. I am truly excited to serve you and your families and to continue supporting your oral health for many years to come."
We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Claire Coleman, Grant’s wife, and niece to Dr. Vance Carlson and Holly Carlson. Dr. Claire will provide specialized periodontal and implant care for patients needing advanced surgical procedures. Having her join us allows our patients to receive even more comprehensive care, all under one roof and still within the family.
Dr. Vance Carlson will continue his presence throughout this transition, helping introduce Dr. Grant and ensuring that the values and standards you’ve come to expect remain constant. The rest of our team remains the same and is committed to making this transition as seamless as possible for you and your families.
We also want to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Cassidy Mennen, who has graciously carried the workload of two dentists over the past four months while continuing to lead and support our incredible staff. Her dedication, compassion, and steady presence have meant more than words can say. We are so thankful for her loyalty through this tremendously difficult time.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love, patience, and loyalty you’ve shown through this difficult season. Cade’s legacy lives on - not just in our hearts, but in the way we continue to care for this community and the families who have trusted the Carlson family for generations.
We couldn’t be more grateful to have Dr. Grant and Dr. Claire leading the next chapter of Carlson Family Dentistry.
