Our dental team includes a group of experienced and caring professionals, each with the task of making your visit to our office as comfortable as possible.
As you enter our office you will be greeted by two receptionists whose goal is to attempt to make appointments that will accommodate your personal schedule as well as explain and prepare any insurance forms and financial arrangements.
Front Desk Goddess #2/Dental Assistant
I work at the front desk with Lorie, assisting with appointment scheduling, checking patients in, and doing insurance billing. I am also a dental assistant, helping Dr. Carlson with procedures when needed. The last place I thought I would ever be is in the dental world. Thanks to Lorie, Robin, and Dr. Carlson, I got my chance and thank my lucky stars every day. I honestly enjoy work and love working with the girls, Dr. Carlson, and our patients. I really consider our patients family and over the years they’ve given me advice, support, love, and not to mention, tons of knowledge. Neither my degree, nor my past work experience, has anything to do with the dental industry, but all my past jobs have contributed to who I am and how hard I work, which Dr. Carlson recognizes in all of us. We have a great team and we all have been her for at least 13 years. All of us are more than just co-workers; we are family.
I am married to Josh and we have a four-year-old daughter, Sedonah. We also have a yellow lab named Moose. Outside the office, I enjoy gardening, cooking, and spending time with my family.
Office Manager/Front Desk Goddess #1
As one of the first people our patients meet when they come to our office, I try to set a great first impression by making all people feel welcomed and at ease. Since starting here in 2001, I’ve gotten to know our patients quite well. I enjoy traveling vicariously through them, and watching their children grow up and bring their own children in to see us. We truly do create generations of smiles! I also love Dr. Carlson; he’s a great boss—so supportive, caring, and understanding. Our team is like a family. We have all worked together for 15 years and I can’t imagine working with a better team.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy outdoor activities with my family and dogs. I also love to travel and cook!
Our team also includes dental assistants and hygienists with a commitment to your comfort. Our two licensed hygienists will guide you to a lifetime of good oral health through a complete disease prevention program, for your entire family.
I started working as a dental assistant right out of high school, while attending college. I graduated from UMKC Dental School in Kansas City, Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1973. With Dr. Carson since 1998, I evaluate every patients’ periodontal condition, and based on the evaluation, I perform the necessary treatment. I also educate patients about their oral health and how to maintain a healthy mouth. Dr. Carlson is a wonderful dentist who takes pride in his work. This is evident by the number of years our entire team has been together, as well as our many loyal patients who respect and appreciate our quality care and knowledge.
I was born in Iowa and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. My husband, Roger, and I have two grown children, Courtney and Travis (twins). Marley, a yellow lab of course, and Jazmyn, a chocolate Labradoodle complete our family.
I am one of Dr. Carlson’s dental assistants, and have worked with him since 1988. My goal is to make each patient’s experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible, all while giving Dr. Carlson the support he needs to provide the best possible care. My favorite thing to do is cosmetic dental procedures. I love seeing the new, beautiful smiles our patients achieve!
I enjoy the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and hiking. My husband, Rick, and my son, Chris, and I love doing all these things together, which makes me love it even more!
As a Dental Hygienist, my job is to help our patients understand why complete oral care is essential in maintaining their overall health. One thing I love most about my job is meeting and creating relationships with all of our wonderful patients.
I spent two years at the University of Wyoming in Laramie before going to Dental Hygiene school at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne. I was raised in Colorado and I love spending time outdoors, as well as watching our Denver Broncos.
